Anyone know why Pinnacle cancelled this bet on me?

I bet "Away runs" vs "Home runs" and just noticed they cancelled the bet.

Any idea why?

Waiting on their email.

It must be a rule that all games go full-length. I'm sure they did it right. Bad beat !

must be because the florida game only went 8 innings
That's exactly why.

On the plus side, I just got my FLA -1.5 wager refunded even though they were down 7-2 in the 8th when the game was called.

But I'm not betting an over/under.

I'm taking a side. If I took a side in the Braves game I would have won or lost.

I see your logic, but I'm sure it's covered in the rules somewhere, a book like Pinny doesn't leave this to chance, search their rules, I'm sure they returned both sides. I've never played this, thought about it a few times, but have passed so far.

From Pinny's "Wagering Info":

Baseball Grand Salami:

  1. The Baseball Grand Salami will be decided by the total runs scored in all major-league games scheduled for that day.
  2. All scheduled games must go at least 8.5 innings. If any scheduled game is canceled or stopped before the completion of 8.5 innings, all wagers on the Baseball Grand Salami will be canceled.

It's not the Grand Salami!!! That's total runs.

It IS the grand salami, I know they put total runs and I almost bet it today but didn't. Pinny is awesome, don't want to make em mad. I had the Braves +1.5 for a nickel and I will try not to bet runlines in open ballparks from here on. Almost nothing is worse than getting a push on what appeared to be a sure win!

You're right - had I read number 1 from my post and not skipped to number 2 I would have realized that. I had in my mind that the Grand Salami was like any wager, you have a side and you have a total. I didn't know it only applied to total runs.

Good luck to you.

You may have an arguement. I recall it's listed on the same line as salami. First is a Spread, then a ML, then a total. Salami is a total, I agree. It may be considered a variation of salami.

On the negative side ( for you) is the fact that this isn't the first game to be shortened since the betting option began, so you argue something old, history is against you.

Actually, re-reading the rules, I'm still not convinced that the Home/Away wager isn't part of the Grand Salami.

I've clearly demonstrated my ignorance several times now in this thread so I will do you all a favor and leave this one alone! :103631605

How could it be part of the Grand Salami? It's not an over/under.

What I needed in the bet was the road teams to do better then the home teams. That's it.

I bet a side. As long as the games are official, it shouldn't matter.

Tony did you email them. I was going to.

They wrote me it was a prop bet and that's it.

They didn't even have it in the prop section. It was put in with the regular lines.
