I have thought about this several times and never posted the question, so I will finally do it.

What is to stop a guy from wrongfully accusing a book of cheating him? I mean, there are guys on here from time to time who claim they are being stiffed by this or that book. Every time, it seems there are phone calls made on the players behalf, etc.

But what is to stop a player from posting up $1,000 with a sports book, losing it and then coming onto the Prescription and saying that he is owed $2,000?

Thanks,

Nothing, natrually his posting name only will eventually be exposed, but by then the damage will have been done. One of the reasons for players who have legitimate problems to contact help by email first and post later if they care to.

Eventually someone will ask for proof like screenshots and other details. The book will be able to show transaction records that you deposited $1k and that you lost it while you will have trouble showing the same for the $2k.

So players should be saving screen shots?

Is something we should be doing on a regular basis?

Thanks,

DP made the point that a scammer is unlikely to have a detailed record.

I always cut and paste for records, but they can easily be altered with a text editor, just as screenshots can be tampered, so neither constitutes any proof but only a player's record. Really its only for my own convenience.

Personally I don't bother with this kind of stuff because I trust the books not to scam me. I figure they'd have no reason to single me out and if they scammed a lot of people it would get out of the bag even without my proof. I do check my balances daily, though, to make sure there were no errors.

Any time there is a dispute between two parties, the case will usually be decided on whose story sounds more realistic and who can provide more evidence to back up their side. If one side is scamming it usually comes out during the discussion even before evidence is presented. Lots of bases to cover, tangled webs weaved etc. when we practice to deceive.

That's what I do, and should be good enough for most. I also keep my own records by hand.

Do a search on here for Patrick McIrish and you will see it done to a rather large amount...
