Many gamblers are now taking a long-awaited break from the daily stresses and grinds of sports betting. However, for some, the desire to be in action leads them to finding someone else to back.

Where is Bill, and who wrote this dubious article??

The 5 and 10 approach advocates backing a guy until I win 5 units or lose 10, and then stop??

So, I'm supposed to try and find a winner out there, and when I do I should bet until I win 5 units (more evidence he might actually be good) and then stop completely???? Huh? Wha?

Also, I strongly disagree with the consensus not being important. It is important to fade the consensus when it comes to writers, announcers and the public. However, when it comes to true sharps (pro bettors, winning cappers), I can guarantee that when 7/8 of them are all aligning on the same side, THAT is the side to get on (provided the line value is still there).

Fezz, I am surprised you did not mention the gold mine you have at your place. The fade phenom "daringly". He has released a documented 49 out of 66 baseball winners.

"To avoid trouble, just take little shots with them and be glad they can add to your bankroll. If you come to trust one over time, adjust the rules as your comfort level increases." Wild Bill-

Fezzik, maybe you should read the entire "article"

What he's saying is set goals for the handicapper your "playing with" and I agree. It may or may not be 5-10 as he stated...

This is Rob Singeresh strategy.

Set a short-term goal of winning 5 units, then exit the arena, and run home and tag the building?

The true way to win following a capper/poster is to carefully monitor their results, and ask the sharper guys what they think about him. When you finally conclude they have the edge, start betting them. The better they do GOING FORWARD, the more likely you should continue to back them, and for more money. The worse they do GOING FORWARD, the more likely to scale back/stop.

Finding a 5 unit win, and then stopping makes no sense to me at all. None. Zero. You spend all the time finding a solid guy, you back him, he wins, and then you bail??????
