This guy is soooooooooooo far over his head, its scary. Without the great Jerry West whispering in his ear, he is absolutely clueless. This was an absolute horrible pick, this kid is going to be on the practice squad for the next 3 years. They had a chance to pick a nice impact player, and this idiot blows it again!!! Hey Mitch your the GM for the LA LAKERS, we dont draft 17 year old prospects with weight problems. Laker fans expect to compete every year, we dont rebuild. How does it feel to get outdrafted year after year by the 2nd biggest moron in the league, Elgin Baylor. I NEED ABOUT 10 JAEGER SHOTS!!!

Probably time to promote Ronnie Lester from the assistant GM job.

Mitch's nose is soooooooo far up Jerry Buss's ass, its not going to happen. You take a shot on a project type player with one of your two 2nd rounders. Of course Jerry West just selects Hakim Warrick, just to stick it up the Lakers ass again. LOL

I think it was a good pick. And I am SURE Phil had alot of input into the slection. The guy will be a project for a few years but so was JERMAINE ONEAL!! And now look at him!!

Dont worry. Bynum will be a dominant center in a few years.

The Wizards and Lakers are discussing a Caron Butler-for-Kwame Brown sign and trade deal.
The deal makes a ton of sense for the Wizards, who just lost Larry Hughes. Butler could be a fantasy factor in Washington. Butler doesn't quite fit on the Lakers, but it's uncertain whether Kwame fits in the NBA

Great deal for both teams, especially the Lakers. Lots of untapped potential there.

Man...I agree!

I think that is a great deal for the Lakers. Brown is only 23 years old. He has a lot of maturing to do mentally, but Phil Jackson would be the perfect guy to get him up to speed mentally.

Plus, the Lakers need big men desperately.
