Some of my buddies used the site below when they came into town in April. They have a feature where you put in what day you want to play and how much you want to pay on it. I don't golf much myself though so can't be of much help.
On the weather, if you are off the course by noon it probably won't be too bad. It doesn't really get hot out here (I know its all relative) until about 2pm and then it just cooks until it gets dark. Also in August we get occasional monsoon rains and those are almost always in the late afternoon so good to do things early. I just advise you not to step off the plane and onto the course, give yourself a day or two to get acclimated and of course drink lots of water, not beer.

Ronald all posters are eligible - no invitation necessary. You just need to show up at the Golden Nugget during the weekend of August 19th. The Poker Tournament and the Rx. Bash Dinner are scheduled for Aug. 20th at the Nugget.

Seriously...we need to all get our shee-ite together...I am getting to the GN on Thursday the 18th and I will be glad to co-ordinate some golf action on Saturday morning....we'll probably have to keep it around 28-32 posters with a very early tee time.
