So, the overs on these at the respective books would be
over 8 at pinny is +109
over 8 at vip is -120
When the line opened, it opened at -105, -105 and got hit harder on the under to the current vig/pricing. Dont all books adjust their pricing? I know you are talking about the sharp # is the under, but not all sharps agree with correct side. If I liked the over, I would be very pleased with Pinnacle and wouldnt make a post on the forum. Have you ever been on the other side at Pinnacle?

I saw the number before coming here and refinanced my VIP account. Pinny has now moved to 8.5 but U/O 8 is at -101/-112 and VIP is -110/-110 for U/O 8. So the market has now normalized.
I have found that as the season has progressed totals have resumed their normal high volatility with the swings being far greater than one sees with sides. Also while sides tend to move more in one direction totals are much more likely to move back and forth. I also believe it is much more difficult to determine the "right" side for totals but if you have a strong opinion you can often get very good prices.
VIP is not a book for sharp high rollers like DP, hence his comments. It is without doubt an A+ book having excellent customer service, rapid payouts, a reward program where reward points from your bets can be converted to cash. However it is for $500 and lower bettors and if you demonstrate significant skill your limits will be severely chopped. Frankly I prefer that to the books that deal dual lines.

UNDER 8 at +100 is a better bet than under 7.5 at -102.

Holysmoke, VIP will throw you out soon enough. That is if you win. VIP has a suckers only customer base. The squares love to bet Over so VIP shades the line. Thats fine if you allow people to bet either side. When you start limiting or booting people who know what the line should be(Det Un 8 -119), thats crooked in my book. Its too bad John Buzz at SBR rates them an A+. He must be well compensated.
