Atlanta -133 (2 units)...Smoltz has looked like he did 10 years ago in the last month. This guy is AMAZING!! People wrote him off after that Opening Day debacle vs. Florida, people said he should head back to the bullpen after Kolb struggled. Well, he's just about the only good SP the Braves have healthy (Davies and Rameriz have been decent). I can't believe Padilla was an All Star at one time. He's on the verge of being out of baseball, imo. Obviuosly, 2 different team philosophies. Braves can handle injuries and adversity, and Philly can't That's what seperates winning franchises from losing ones.
Cleveland +104 (1 unit)...All the buzz in the AL was about Baltimore until recently, well, now Clev's record is almost identical. This Indians team has finally began to swing the bats, and now, they are winning games on the road ( 9 of 11). The O's have went in the opposite direction, losing 7 of their last 8. Both of tonights SP's have had their struggles of late, but it looks like CC may be getting it back together, after a decent performance last week vs. Cincy. He's a proven pitcher. Lopez continues to get behind hitters, and then serving up pitches high in the strike zone. I believe Clev 'gets 'r' done again.
Pitt/Mill UNDER 8 (1 unit)...Tried the Pirates UNDER 8 play yesterday; didn't work out too well. Gonna come right back with it tonight. Both these pitchers coming off rough outings, but I have faith they'll be solid. Both have fared well vs. the opposing lineups, and this has been a classic under series this season. Before yesterday's action, neither squad was exactly "lighting it up" at the plate.
