Who did the Yankees get for Jose Contreras last year? Was it a 3 way deal?

Looks like the Yanks gave up on starting pitching too soon. Contreras, Weaver, El Duque and Vasquez seem to be more consistent than the bums they throw out there now.

Not sure what it is but many pitchers don't perform at their peak in New York. Could very well be the pressure. Look at how well those they sent packing are doing, and the fact that Pavano, Wright, Johnson are not performing near as well as last year.

You're right, dead on. I too would guess the pressure and surroundings just aren't a good fit for some.
