Affiliate Referal programs can bring in great revenue, but I would highly recommend being very careful on deciding what books you agree to take on. To get paid on performance the most important thing is trust. It's not a bad idea, don't get me wrong though. A forum like therx would probably bring more revenue in on that type of program.

There is a great possibility some outfits will not go by what is actually on there generators records. Say a person would signup over the phone they would say who refered them but then the clerk not put the business down for credit. :hump:

I would stick around The V.I.P Group and BetCris Group for Affiliate Referal programs.

The RX would not be a good example of a site that should use affiliate programs for revenue. There are large players here that win. They would eat up the net loss of smaller bettors and The RX may never see a penny from the affiliate deal.

I disagree..

Some books offer commission based on gross deposits and with no reductions for winnings or chargebacks. This makes their commission more profitable than other contract methods.

True...I should have specified the "net loss" revenue share plan which I was referring to.

I may be wrong, but it seems like the books that do NOT offer any sort of affiliate commissions are the ones that tend to be the safest/most secure books.

Eg. Olympic and WSEX come to mind...

These 2 books seem to rely more on word-of-mouth advertising, rather than giving up a cut of their business to an affiliate...

WSEX may have a poker affiliate program, but I don't think they have one for the sports side....if they do please point me to it....

Olympic does have the 5% referal bonus, I had forgot about that one...but my point was they don't offer a "true" affiliate program...the type where they offer the affiliate 25% of losses referred....that type of thing...

I think you are right Baus...the affiliate program I was referring to must be WSEX's poker affiliate program.

Why go affiliate when you could PPH?

You stand to make much more than an affiliate program with PPH. Pay per head. PPH has moved into the "full service" arena now where it used to be just leasing software for writing purposes. Now they handle all one's accounting needs. Total automation and very big with the credit market.

Referral programs are nice because it is a reward for your loyalty and faith in a book. As for bonuses programs, I would like to see only loyalty bonuses. Affiliate programs are fine IMO.

not many books offer aff programs..not having them thats dumb.. in exchange for a 20% they can have massive exposure, from text links (helps host page ranking) to banners (helps presence)

a robust aff program at the end is more effective than throwing a $$$ marketing campaing...

Referrals are something of a free money play if applicable. I'm definitely pursuing affiliate income as a source of revenue stream via poker sites. It would be silly not to take up such an offer.
