I went and bought a bunch of food today and am starving, but am also in the middle of a move to my new place. I moved my grill and my microwave and don't feel like taking a drive to get either.

Anyone know if I am okay to cook a hotdog in the oven?

I need directions!

Just broil it for about 5 minutes on each side (preheat).

I always cook hotdogs in the oven. Just lay some tin foil, cut some slices in the hot dogs and cook on 400 to 450 for about 10-15 minutes. not like a BBQ, but still pretty good.

You obliterate us all with your massive knowledge of the unconventional ways to cook a hotdog.

Your views should be respected.

Good luck on the move. Moving is a pain. There are very few better feelings then when you are 100% situated in your new place.

I am beyond inept in the kitchen and couldn't begin to offer advice on the hot dog. I wouldn't know how to prepare it myself so I will read this thread too in case I ever need to make one.

broil it for about 3 minutes with door open, then roll it over, broil another minute or 2, and at the end, roll it again, slice down the middle, and put cheese in them......let melt...

Best way to fix hot dogs...

Pick up a George Foreman grill, grilled a hotdog on it myself today in about 3-4 minutes.

The George Foreman grill has been a life saver for me...that thing is amazing.
