Indians Davis - Home 1-0, 2.57 era, .174 BAA, Night 2-1, 3.86 era, .275 BAA
Det - Verlander - 22 yr old making 1st big league apperarance, only 3 starts above A ball.

Indians on a roll and making a run for a wildcard spot. Won 7 of 10, Detroit 2-8 last 10. Both teams going in different directions. As I type Indians lead gm one the the double header 9-1 in the 8th. Detroit went to pen in the 4th inning with one of their not so great pitchers. Indians pen well rested and Detroit long guy used up. So slight advantage to us here. Main thing is the bats and the roll the Indians are on against a pitcher with no big league experience.
Game 2 starters I expect all the main regulars to play. Pudge caught game one, so he will probably DH, but I don't see much of an affect here on the game. Indians backup catcher caught gm 1 so I expect their regular in the night cap.

Rangers Rodriguez - Home 1-0, 2.45 era, Night 1-1, 3.66 era He has been pitching great since called up from triple A, pitched great there too. He broke a bone in his elbow last year, so they started him off in the minors this year after a great beginning of the year last year before going down with the injury. He has been on his game the past two seasons, what little he has pitched. I look for solid stuff from him tonight.

Boston Miller - Road 0-2, 7.32 era, .317 BAA, Night 2-1, 5.06 era, .233 BAA
Miller has given up 3 HR's in 19.2 IP on the road this year, not good HR ration to be bringing to Arlington. Miller pitching around 5-6 innings per start and the Red Sox pen hasn't done well lately.

The Rangers have won 8 of 11 vs Boston in Arlington. They did lose 2 of 3 earlier this year, but did win game one of that series. Boston beat TX weak pitchers then. TX has been playing nice ball of later on July 4th, don't know the stats, just going on memory here. Temperature in the 90's, those Red Sox won't like it. Red Sox ready for the All - Star game with manager and there players going. That's the talk with them now. I think TX takes it to them tonight.

Thanks TN, I'm glad you won it. The only other time I posted two plays I lost on the Rangers by one run, we got it tonight. After 5 innings I was wishing I had played the Rangers in the first 5 which I do a lot of times because their pen had been shacky. Tonight I went for the game, because the Sox pen had been worse than TX. I wasn't happy with it in the 8th when Manny poked the 2 run shot, but it all worked out when we got to their pen.

MFG, You da Man! Absolutely Love how selective you are! Congrats!

Thanks Dawg. I used to enter some contests and post more plays, but that didn't fit my style. In contests you had to have sometimes 3 plays a day and if you missed a day you got 3 losses. That's not how I bet, so the contests didn't correlate with my gambling style. Before I posted some picks, some would only be for like 1-3 units and when I had a big one I would post 40 or 50 units. When I lost a big play some rookies would be saying "that's bad money management, you should bet all your plays for the same amount." That is not how you make money. You bet the most money on your strongest plays. On the other hand, if you take the time to research a game and feel it will make you money in the long run in it's state then put a little on it.
