Are any books offering futures odds for college football. Specifically, odds for winning the Heisman?

USC is OTB at current numbers, and would be OTB to me at such numbers even before most any previous falls where they clearly looked the best of it going in..let alone this fall where they appear as good as anyone, yet slightly more vulnerable than in the previous three years.

I have to give a look at Texas, LSU, OSU, Tenn, Mich, VT given current prices..with Bama & TAM as tough underrated darkhorses..and with Iowa, OU, UF, and Miami also in the mix, yet having some unproven question marks that should be answered in due time if the recruiting and coaching meet usual standards on the field.

Texas, LSU, and Ohio St have loads of NFL talent to make a run at USC this year.

Rail, you won't have to wait long to find out how wrong that assertion is, as ASU loses at LSU in their first game..yet will probably cover the number.

Would be nice if SEC would come out WEST just once? These teams are TERRIFIED to play away at places like UTAH, ASU, CAL.

Rail, you well know it's all about "gate", as unlike many West Coasters that draw average or play in mid-sized venues, that SEC and southern football powers draw 80K+, and need the home game concessions to fund their athletic programs..they need 7+ home games minimum.

Trust me, Fla, Tenn, UGa, LSU, Bama, Auburn, FSU, Mia, VT, and The Big-10 powers, would all love to play a Pac-10/Add ND game for a trip the BCS title game, not that USC hasn't been the king of late on it's own decided merit.

Washington, UCLA, ASU, and Az's slide of recent, coupled to Oregon's slight regression from elite form, has made USC's recruiting from a Cali/West Coast/Mountain West/National platform a bit of shooting fish in a barrel.

In contrast, Deep South schools divide their talent pools.
