as many of you know here, im constantly developing system.. my last one was pretty good, a home team underdog system.... currently i am running a totals system that i developed over the 4th of july weekend... put it into action with the last game sunday night and all day yesterday.. 8-3-1 start, so thats pretty good..

now with this totals system (without boring you with a lot of numbers), im selecting overs/unders for each series -- with a ranking on the series...

My question on how to wager this is:
a) do i flat bet every game of the series? example, yanks/orioles was rated a 9 on my series rating, anything 10 and under is an "Over" play for me... I won yesterday on the over in this series (garnering my one unit), but did not play them again today (and it went over again)..

b) simply wager the series in a slight martingale effect, going for the one unit win.... not necessarily doubling on the 2nd game but simply playing it for one unit (if 1st game loses).. with this thinking once a win is garnered in game one of series (no more bets placed in series).. however if game one is a loser, then game 2 would be a one unit wager (to get even and not double down), if game 2 loses then bet 2 units on game 3 of series (just to get even), however if game one loses and game 2 wins, then bet only one unit again on game 3 of series...

if your not confused, which way would you go..

i do not like the 1-2-4 progression and will not martingale in that fashios, its suicidal over the long haul and im looking at the long haul....

some notes on the first sets of series this week..

series scores.

col/lad 9
stl/az 9

Not to overstate the obvious, but if a system is dependably well in the black, one should use all betting leverage possible, including progressive, martingaling and parlays. However, if it isn't dependable, or prone to big cold streaks, any leverage is suicidal. The right answer to your question depends on your risk tolerance. If you need to win big or strike out, go for the leverage. Personally, I would stay with a flattish bet series and let the winning percentage work for me over time without blowout risk.

Increasing the bet would seem to lead to overbetting, to me.

good answer rudy, im defiantely not into striking big, ive done this since the fall of 1986 and played countless systems over the years...

my personal preference is to flat bet all the games and let the 55-58% "expected win percentage" work over the long haul..
