Chaunce Hayden, publisher of Steppin’ Out Magazine and a regular guest on Howard Stern’s morning show, claims that former Van Halen front man David Lee Roth will replace Stern in the NYC and L.A. markets right after Labor Day, before Stern heads to Sirius satellite in January. Hayden posted the tidbit in his online magazine today: “Infinity Broadcasting isn’t commenting, and Roth has been asked to keep mum until it’s officially announced.

I can think of no less than 100 people on this forum to be a better replacement.

He cannot be replaced best for them to put someone in they suspect will be a total flop. After that, then find someone capable of getting his own niche.

Obviously this is a corporate boob who made this decision based on thinking Howard's replacement must be a rocker type Howard? LOL :103631605 Great call!

reminds me of when KLSX (howard's LA station) put Kato Kaelin on after Howard for a bit. it was a verbal train wreck.

You know ... when I first heard about Roth I thought "maybe" ... then I started listinen to the guys that know the genre and they all agree that Stern was/is peerless in the shock jock industry....but its not my thing and couldn't even offer an alternative other than this weak psot which sounds clueless.

I don't know if you like 80's music but if you do channel 008 will be right up your ally. It has Alan Hunter, Mark Goodman, and Nina Blackwood (first mtv vjs). It plays great music with no commercials. I got my sirius reciever about a year ago for my home and payed the 500 bucks for the life time subscription. I don't even know if they still have that promotion, but if they do I suggest you get it.

I did get the lifetime (of the radio) for 500 bucks. very happy with that.
as far as music goes, i prefer my ipod in the car. i can be my own awful dj.

they dont have very many good sports talk shows. I already get ESPN on my local AM so doesnt seem to offer too much else. ALthough i am still learning my way around the dial. It did give great news this morning with all the London stuff.

WHO CARES

I will have my Sirius and listen to Howard as my way of saying "F YOU" to the government for forcing him to go to Satellite

btw - DO NOT Miss the last 2 days of his E! shows - new ones that is - they should be special

and the rumor i have heard is that once his show leaves E! he is headed to

Spike TV

BRILLIANT MOVE IF TRUE!

this INSTANTLY puts Spike "on the map" like it did E! and Spike will see its ratings at that time period SKYROCKET and whatever they pay him - will be recouped - and then some - with increased ratings and ad revenue
