Let me preface this by stating that I think todays card is extremely weak....somewhat fishy so Im taking it easy.I usually find myself narrowing down 4 or 5 games but today Im not seeing much.The one one game I saw that I liked was the Under 9.5 (+105) NYY/Cleveland.Heres why:
Its no secret the Yanks have been hitting.Its also no secret that alot of those hits and runs were vs Baltimore pitching.Tonight they face Cliff Lee whos been solid on the road (exc last two starts).I look for him to bounce back tonight.Good pitchers dont just forget how to pitch and he's been good.On the road this year: 7-1 w/ an era of 3.44 era and 1.26 whip (stats include his recent breakdowns on the road).Hes allowed 8 HRs in road 65 ip which is about about 1 per outing.The Yanks can hit LH pitching for sure but do hit righties better.Then theres Wang whos has been great all around this year and stellar in Yankee stadium going 3-1 w/ an era of 3.43 (whip 1.20) in his home starts.Hes ONLY let up 3 HRs in 39 home ip this year.Now Cleveland can hit RHP but Wang has been impressive and seems to be getting better each start.These guys both will be backed by BPs that have been performing well(Cle 2.50 era/NYY 3.17 era).Weather should be wet tonight in the NE which should help the under as well.The last 6 meetings have gone 4-1-1 Under and the ump has a low pitchcount (278) and decent strike % (63.1) which should also assist tonights pitchers.I just smell a pitchers duel.
