I was wondering do you do basketball as well? i was thinking of a home ml system using about 5 teams. it is not unheard of for a playoff team to go 40-1 39-2 38-3

heat
spurs
pistons

all come to mind.
do you think this can make money?

You would lose your ass doing that unless you picked the perfect 5 teams, and thats hard to do. Some of the money lines on 13 and 14 point favs are unreal!!

I think you would find taking the 5 worst teams from the previous season and betting them on the moneyline as a home dog everytime would be much more profitable.

yep, the guys are right, no way..... some of those lay 10:1 at home on ML.. however there may be a way to exploit the home teams..

i cant work on it now, MLB then the NHL (hopefully)...

dont forget, what i am doing in MLB is not laying juice, im fooling around with the runline until i get the plus juice, you cant do that with the nba teams,,, unless you sell points..

my theroy in mlb is based on 3 things:

flat betting
home teams
all plus juice

Jesse, just read your note in another post about --- best team, best era, best price..

i was still trying to take the plus juice for the most part,,, over a large number of games (in a system like this), the plus juice is a must..

i think you should keep track of this..

best team (record wise)
flat bet
all plus juice..

just use those 3 things and drop the best era of pitcher, this plays all the games, now you will have to use the runline to get the plus juice... im merely doing the same thing but substituting the home team with the best team..

i'll give it a whirl for a week or so using the lowest rl for a + result and let you know how it went. i see a game tomorrow with two teams with even records so i will skip that one.
