Does it tell alot about you if the MIN buy in is 50 and you go all in with your account balance?? In other words can you look more like a beginner when you buy in for less

thanks for your comments:smoker2:

I think a lot of people just click on the default buy-in which is more than minimum.

At my local room the majority of players get a rack of white for 4/8 (minimum buyin $40) and I always feel good inside when I see someone sit down to start with two racks, since it indicates an action player ready to lose.

where I play local its like standard buy in for 100$ for the NL games...I was thinking online if you buy in for min you might appear to be more of a beginner to some

In my opinion, whenever you play a cash game either online or live, you should always buy in the maximum that you can afford for that session or match the biggest stack on the table. The reasoning is you can wait a whole session sometimes without ever catching a hand. The odds of you catching a hand while someone else does with a decent stack size are rare...so you don't want to let a golden oppurtunity pass you by when it happens. As everyone probably knows, maximizing your winnings is the mantra of poker. If you are uneasy of losing the maximum buy in, you are playing in a game that is too high for your limits. Step down to a lower limit game and buy in the maximum. Your game will flourish in the long run.

i almost always buyin with the min when playing against suspect players....but with good players you better buy in with at least the table avg or they will think ur a fish playing over ur head and play u accordingly..

one reason i never play ring at Bodog is you have those dumbasses playing .25 tables with their 2000.00 bankrolls on the table....now im sure this sounds great to good players (unlike myself) but never seeing a flop for less than 5x the BB is not my idea of fun.....
