This is very unusual for the cupcake lover Texas Longhorns, who open with Louisiana-Lafayette , and then will be traveling to the Horseshoe to face Ted Ginn Jr. and Ohio State...

Very intriguing early out of conference ballgame....looks like Bowl Match-up on Sept 10!

Texas@OSU, what kind of line are we expecting?

One of these two teams will be eliminated from championship contention more than likely.

QB Vince Young and OSU Ginn Jr , two Heisman candidates...should be an entertaining game for sure.

Yes, everyone knows Texas would trade a loss to Ohio State for a win over Oklahoma, but a victory in Columbus would get the national title talk rolling and give the team a booster shot of confidence, and a mega-attitude, before tough games against Missouri and OU.

Is it me or are we seeing Texas sitting at #5-#9 every year now...they never move up but always seem on the brink of greatness....Mack Brown struggles against Top 10 teams, doubt this will be any different, Texas going to Ohio State.

These seem like common numbers for these teams at some point in the year.

In fact, IOWA has finishied the season ranked #8 the last three years!!

Oasis has the line at Ohio State +1 for $250 max...I am already on the Buckeyes for the max.

I believe LV Hilton has GOY lines posted but I have not found out the games and lines as of yet.

I follow the Big 10 and Big 12 very closely. I can honestly say that I don't think this game will be close to matching the hype. Ohio State is vastly overrated and have too much turmoil. What people are forgetting is that Buckeyes no longer have Nugent who won many of these games. Texas I believe will build upon big victory in Rose Bowl and catapult to National Title game. Vince Young is the best talent in all of college football and with Young back to replace Benson and many talented defenders, Texas will be a force and this is a game that will help them come red river time vs OU. Texas will win by double digits!

Selvin Young is more than capable of replacing Benson, as it is usually Linebacking, or more specifically Linebacking and DB play versus OU that has cost the Horns their shot at the title.

This could be their year?

Young is much better than anyone OSU throws out there at QB. Very good point about the loss of Nugent. OSU will have a hard time moving the ball. They will need a huge game from Ginn, and the D will have to force TO's.
