this morning I see everyone listing the phillies as a pick...can someone tell me why they lke the philles today? patterson has a ton of no decisions but has pitched solid...lidle has been inconsistent...philly is 6-14 their last 20 and their closer called them a bunch of losers who won't make the playoffs...

just curious what everyone is seeing in the phillies. they seemto be a team that a lot of people have been betting on recently.

how ANYONE can bet real money on the phillies is beyond me - and at this price?

they might win the game - but laying this much wood on them is just asking for trouble!

From what I see.....................
Lidle - who is 2-0, 2.57 his last 2 starts has a record of 4-0, 3.33 vs. Wash
while Patterson is 0-1, 4.76 his last 4 starts............there's all those "no decisions".............

No opinion on game but maybe people are betting because of Patterson's problems on the road this year.

I took the Phils cause Patterson has just 4 road starts and an ERA close to 6. His home park is much better for pitchers. Also think Phillies have a much better lineup. Majewski threw over 30 pitches yesterday and Ayala has gone 2 consecutive days throwing a lot of pitches. Don't like their LH relievers either against guys like Abreu and Utley in late innings. Patterson usually only goes around 6 IP. 0-0 right now so need the Phils to put a few up if they're gonna get the win.
