I'd say when it starts going back up in value. My aunt had an '88 GT like yours. I remember being stuffed in the backseat on a trip from San Fran to L.A. She was a horrible driver, most nauseating car ride of my life. If you're looking for car values. www.kbb.com will get you the "book price" and www.ebaymotors.com will show what stuff is going for.

Have a good weekend.

When a car reaches its 25th birthday............it officially becomes a CLASSIC.

That is the general rule of thumb used in the automobile industry.

Officially, I think it is 25 years old, but I could be wrong! Candy said I was wrong the other night, but I don't remember!

Yep, after 25 years you can also get "Classic" license plates (at least in some states).

that's how it works, it's always the old timers with the antiques

usually they get the car that they wanted when they were in high school

I have to say I really hate those mustangs. I used to have a 66 coupe, best car ever. All my friends drive the late 80s models, just cant get past the fugliness. I think though that some cars become classics faster than others, ie the 2005 mustang will become a quick classic, where a 98 wont.
