There was a thread awhile back about this, but my search isn't locating it. I searched "travel" in topics. It mentioned the sites like side-step and certain airlines.

I was uncertain if I could attend, but it looks doable, now ! I found $275 rt from Hartford on side-step which isn't bad for a starting point.

A link would be nice if possible. I'm not very good at finding threads I didn't start.

try, travelocity, or expedia, get the price, then go to that airlines website where you found the ticket, and get it $5-$10 cheaper than on expedia or the others, they charge a fee, the airline site does not

Instead of going to expedia, orbitz etc etc download travelaxe from www.travelaxe.com what is does is list all the major websites for hotel, and airline information (minus southwest since they only sell online via there site) so you have an idea of what is out there and what price it is. Once you see something you like I agree go to the airline website directly and book it with them since it usually will be cheaper.
