I do not know anything about who was going to take what. And really lie detectors are unreliable, at best. The tapes are about as damning as you can get. Royal has been hit so many times they are punchdrunk and have set themselves up for situations like this. With their reputation on the slide, deservedly so, they are targets for judgements against. Anyone who reads the boards can lose, lie and say they got screwed at Royal. And the watchdogs will line up at an opportunity to bite them. I really have no use for Royal, so for me to defend them speaks volumes. And although they play games, slow pay and others, they do pay. So now we are at a crossroads, we believe Royal, that the guy on the tapes is him, and it sures sounds legit to me, or some David, who all of a sudden is worming around in this forum whining, who sent money to a slow paying book, fell apart and bet it all away. Another minor observation, all of the watchdogs and supporters were rallying around David, are distancing themselves faster than a stockbroker and Enron. What could that mean? Can anyone give me one verifiable, not something happened in Canada I think, but one verifiable instance where a book falsified phone tapes? I can then make odds.
