Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay will miss at least a month because of a broken bone in his left leg, spoiling his shot to start next week's All-Star Game.

Halladay sustained a non-displaced fracture in his lower left leg when he was struck by Kevin Mench's line drive in the third inning of the Blue Jays' 7-6 loss at Texas on Friday night.

AL manager Terry Francona replaced Halladay on the roster with Red Sox right-hander Matt Clement (10-2, 3.85), though the manager didn't say who would start.

That's what happened to him. Had the game up on MLB.com and suddenly he was gone. Goodthing to as I had Texas. Too bad for the Jays. Pretty much will completely finish them for the season if there was really any hop anyway.

In March, I put $20 on the Jays to win the Series here in Vegas at Sunset Station. Paid $3,500. Although I didn't have much of a chance before, now, with Halliday's injury, I can probably use my ticky for TP

Hard to believe that Clement wasn't on before now. Didn't realize that Matt Morris didn't get named to the NL roster.
