I guess major is doing away with his insurance policy. The thing is i dont think there was ever anyone who ever used it. I cant see anyone feeling like going through all the requirements to use the policy. Any opinions on this?

I never realized there was red tape involved, I thought anyone who played at his books was covered up to a dime if a book went down....

MajorWager would like to address the concerns of many players and reinforce confidence in our advertisers by offering secured accounts to our active MajorWager posting participants. If you qualify, your accounts with any of our advertising books will be secured up to $1000.

ALL EXISTING ACCOUNTS ARE SECURED

1) You must post 15 times per week on the site. Please don’t expect meaningless posts to count towards the total.

2) In order for your accounts to be secured for that week, you must send an email on Monday to secured@majorwager.com. Emails will only be accepted on Monday for that week. The coverage is for that week only. You must send a new email each Monday with current balances

3) Balance on Monday is the one that counts.

4) In the email please include your posting handle, and a screen shot of the account you would like secured. Real names are NOT required.

5) The determination of when a book is ‘done’ is entirely up to The Major.

6) At any time during the week MW can remove an advertiser and unless you have your emails sent on the previous Monday, the coverage is null and void for the selected book.

7) You MUST have credited MajorWager as the "originating site", or be a new sign up listing MajorWager as the referrer, OR Email the book and CC secured@majorwager.com and let them know that you are taking advantage of MajorWager’s secured program and ask to be listed as a reader from MW.

From MW site...

I wonder over the years how many people have used that insurance plan? I never read about 1 player ever using it. Even though it sounds nice, its just a waste of time in my opinion. Does anyone know if a watchdog site ever paid players out of there own pocket before, if an advertiser went under?

When you ask me I don't see a problem with any insurnace program. Sure this one is relatively small ($1000) and a bit complicated, but I believe The Major meant well when he iniatiated the program. I get the impression Nana has angenda with Russ. Just my 2 cents.

If "watchdogs" would only accept advertising from top tier sportsbooks, there would never be a need for an insurance program.

It's irrelevant now, but I believe that the reporting requirements were instituted after the program paid out when AcesGold went down. When the books closes it's doors & bails, the insurer is left holding the ball-and needs to at least have an idea of what kind of balance the players really had in their accounts.

It's really a catch 22. Either you make the players provide proof of their balance to you on a weekly basis(which many thought was too much of a hassle), or you leave yourself wide open to every $0 balance account holder coming forward & claiming that they had over 1k in their account.

p.s. Nana, for trying to come across as a "newbie", you certainly do seem to know quite a bit about the forums, and also seem to have quite an agenda.

It is a cheap, publicity trick! As BetRoyal has proven, gullibility seems to be a huge commodity in our world!
