We have hit that mid summer three day window, where there is very little to do in the sports betting world....

If you're an everyday player, this has to be the worst three days of the year.

No way, its time to smell the roses and enjoy the break. Lots of people I know took this whole weekend off and will be off until about a week from now. Results in bases are notoriously unpredictable around the All-Star cloud of about 4 games before and after.

Question for Journey

What are some of the cities/areas folks in Baltimore and DC buy vacation homes in? Driving distance only, so no Florida. Just doing some "due diligence".

Ocean City Maryland would be the closest from the metropolitan areas (about 2.5 hours)

The Delaware beaches are also right next to Ocean City... Rehobeth and Dewey Beach.

Outside the beach towns, where else? Those Delaware beach towns were pretty nice looking, but then again it was below freezing there when I saw them in January!

They have some amazing homes right on the beach in DE.

It gets pretty brutal down there in the blustery, windy, winter months...I lived down OC back in the mid 90's, the winter is no picnic.

As far as any other vacation spots that are within driving distance, Cape May NJ (which is a resort as well, but more of a 'regular town') The Poconos mountains in Pa.

I don't know where else really, anything within driving distance would be a beach town, even the Carolina beaches, Myrtle Beach S.C. and The Outer Banks in NC

I've been off from betting since Thursday (played a little poker), and it's been quite a pleasant break, :103631605

my thoughts are beginning to turn towards the football season

This is a forced break. I take my breaks when I damn well please. Took off the first day of NCAA tourney, and went on a fishing mission. One of my best, if not the best ever. Today I have no choice. My so called vacation did not last long as I got back into bases and horses. Mainly because I have a nasty strain in my elbow, which is requiring time to heal. They should call this degenerate break day. No capping, no betting, I am beginning to tremble, get the shakes, feeling nauseated. Where is that Japanese bases?

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

Nothing to do? Leave work, go pick up a 12 of the beer of your choice, go home, watch the home run derby or the all-star game tomorrow night, get hammered, pass out, and repeat.

Or masturbate till you pass out...then wake up, and repeat.
