It's bad enough that ESPN has shown this stupid hot dog eating contest about 20 times, but that's only the beginning.

They are now starting some kind of eating competition "league" that is (of course) based on the ESPN Zone menu. They're apparently having one of these here in Denver today (and to make it worse-it's big news around here)

They're actually going to put this crap on TV????

Know what you mean. ESPN has quite a NON-SPORTS lineup anymore. Anyone every caught a glimpse of some of those female billiard players? UGGHH, the only one worth looking at is that Jeanette Lee, the rest are absolutely hideous.

Alot of these programs were only given air time because of the NHL lockout this year..espn had to scramble to fill up their programming schedule which included adding alot of these non-sporting events

Hey #1, how goes it? No fires up here, but the first real one of the year is blowing up down south (west of Pueblo). We're entering the 3rd week of 90+ degree temps, so I fully expect half the state to be up in flames by this time next week :icon_conf

Yeah, I think I could recite some of the hands from the 2004 WSOP.....but it's better that the cheerleading and lumberjack competitions.

Hell, I'll take some old college football games over this crap any day!

TT, I have fond memories of 2003? when that coo coo started "the" fire! No watering your lawn or your off to prison! :finger: I will never miss the news casts announcing if you could water your lawn, have a fire, or drive your car.... :finger:

The drought is pretty much over now-we had a monster winter\spring & Dillon res is even at capacity. It's much different than the year the dumb shit forest service employee lit up who knows how many 100's of thousands of acres when she was supposedly burning his old love letters....(Don't get me started). T-Rex is finally wrapping up, but they predict that it's benefits will be overrun by growth over the next five years-which has to be about as long as it took.

Thankfully, I only have to go from Broomfield to downtown Denver. No way I could cope with that drive to the tech center, or (gasp....) Parker.

Besides the cops still beating & killing people on sight, that's about all that's new in Colorado. Let me know if you ever make it back this way!

comcast sports channel has some replays of games from 2003..(although i have seen South Carolina vs Tennessee twice already so they might be recycling them by now)

frankly speaking i would rather see some women's beach volley ball or college womens volley ball..those babes are hot as hell, and i love seeing 6 ft athletic women in spandex pat each others butts!!!

Wnba better take a hint from European womens basketball

At those dog eating contests on ESPN, they call the area where the goofy lookin judges refill the plates as 'the Spit Zone'. And the cameras do close-ups on clowns with dog guts and bun pus all over their face. ESPN, what have you come to? This is a sport? I gotta kidney stone that needs passing, anyone wanna come over and record it? I'd rather watch the birth of a family of nuclear rat-maggots than watch a buncha gluttons stuff their faces.

I agree I used to bet AFL heavy. It kicks ass. Esendon was my favorite team also.
