Been using internet banking for the longest time. Today I can say f***ed-up. On my electric bill I wanted to pay 22.98 and ended up paying 2,298.00. Now I have to go through the problems of getting a refund from the electric. Felt like losing a game on the bottom of the ninth.

Next time I'll be more careful prior to confirming the transaction.

Thanks

You know you usually have 24 hours to CANCEL your transaction online.

Is that to late?

I've allmost had the same problem myself, but caught it before..hitting send or pay button. I don't believe there is even a confirmation screen at my bank's online site.

Contacted the bank personally and was told once processed, the tranaction is completed from the banks point of view and to contact the receiver.

Thanks K!!
I have a B of A acct and pay my bills online. I had to call them about a question for my debit card last year...I was passed around to at least 3 people for what should have been a simple question ...something to do with my atm debit card.
Plus...I have sent them questions on the web-site and the answers are not allways clear. PlUS --to make it EVEN WORSE--they now have something called a "site-key" to identify the user...This morning it did not recognize me....nearly had a heart-attack...till I fugured out it was just making SURE---I guess.

Good Luck to you...Actually--you may be fortunate it was the Electric Co... Maybe they will handle it quickly!!
