I am posting this on behalf of Ken as he is unable to post at the Rx:

____________________________________

On July 11, the Player in the now-infamous Royal dispute voluntarily subjected himself to a polygraph test arranged by Jay Cohen, The General, and myself.

The player was asked two SIGNIFICANT questions, namely:??1. On June 12, 2005 or any time in the month of June, did you place any bet of any kind with Royal Sports

-- The Player responded 'No.'

2. Did The Shrink or The General try in any way to get you to lie against Royal Sports

-- The Player responded 'No.'

The findings of the polygraph expert, John Balard (below) show that the player LIED in his response to question #1.

The findings also show that the player told THE TRUTH in question #2.

In this case, my final judgment is IN FAVOR OF ROYAL SPORTS and no monies are owed to the Player.

Summary:

In all of the years I have handled disputes, I have never been involved in any that were as complicated and confusing as this. The Player was convincing, consistent and adamant that he was telling the truth. He stated all along that he never placed any bets with ROYAL SPORTS in June and maintained the position that ROYAL SPORTS owed him twenty thousand dollars.

On the other hand, ROYAL SPORTS stated that the Player was fabricating this story, and Royal provided online AUDIO tapes that clearly sounded like the Player's voice placing the bets.

So why didn't I immediately rule in favor of ROYAL?

As everyone knows, ROYAL SPORTS had in the past history of occasionally slow paying clients. Clearly, this is not the industry standard. Had ROYAL this issue not been present, I'd have never brought in a Polygraph Expert for assistance and I would have ruled immediately in favor of ROYAL-- end of story.

Furthermore, ROYAL never sent me the original copy of the tapes that I asked for. According to one Voice Expert I called upon, he stated that the original tapes were mandatory in order to have them dated and time stamped for authenticity.

Ironically, when I discussed this case with another upper tier sport books in our industry, I told them that had they provided the type of evidence ROYAL had done, I'd have never asked them for these tapes. Interestingly, this other upper tier book responded back by saying, "we'd have INSISTED on sending them to you."

To conclude, I extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to ROYAL SPORTS for dragging them into this fiasco and subjecting them to an unwarranted degree of scrutiny unprecedented in this industry.

It is my sincere hope that the management of Royal Sports will forgive me this trespass and remain cooperative in future endeavors to shed light on disputes if they arise again.

All I ever wanted throughout this ordeal was to find out THE TRUTH.??To my fellow gamblers, sports books and posters, I am a PLAYER ADVOCATE first and foremost. I did every-thing in my power to fight for a player I believed in.

I was DUPED!!!

However, I did whatever I could to seek for veracity and although it took time, I believe justice has been served.

I know that ROYAL SPORTS offered to compensate this player for this slow payment, but I don't believe ROYAL should pay him a penny. This would set a bad precedent to others who may have been slow paid. Also, seeing how this player dragged both ROYAL and myself though the mud and back, I once again rule in favor of ROYAL NOT TO PAY him another penny.

During this trying situation, I have been in consistent contact with the management of Royal and hope that they will endeavor to position themselves as a premiere sportsbook.

I'd also like to extend Special Thanks to sites such as Sportsbook Review, Major Wager, and TheRx, for their help in this matter...

Below is an attached copy of the Polygraph results and the resume of the expert I used:

Apologizing is something I can understand and Royal definitely deserved an apology for what went on in this situation.

But to say they are anything but a shit book is going overboard. The fact remains this player, and several others, continue to be slow paid.

As I said in David1's thread. There are 2 facts:

#1- David is full of shit.
#2- Royal is a slow paying shit book.

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Dude, you are a stiff and a disgrace to the professional bettors out there. You were stupid enough to make multiple deposits into a book with well documented slow pay problems. So then you get slow payed. OK, no surprise there, you got the bonuses I hope. You struggle to get your money, again, not exactly a new revelation, give up, fall for the keep you on the property trap and lose it all back. Next, you whine and cry after losing it, and get all the salivating watchdogs foaming at the mouth to attack an already reeling target. Did you even mention you made those bets to them? So Royal gets attacked again, and oops, they recorded the bets. Those liars. No David, you are the liar. Royal may slow pay, that is what they do, and it worked with you, shmuck. But they do not falsify tapes. Did you think they did not roll tape on phone bets? You are a misguided opportunist who saw a chance to welch on some lame loser bets. I would pay you nothing, and backhand you in person for acting like this. You do not belong in our world or our forum. There is a word called integrity...

Best Wishes...oF:howdy:

David1, I mean Barnum Minuteman1. I had you spotted from day 1. And it was also just like I figured, you took all of the watchdogs for a ride. You owe everyone involved a huge apology, and have no idea the shit storm you started hurt a lot of people who backed you. You lousy lying fuck!

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

The bottom line here is it is HARD TO TRUST ANYBODY in this business unless you have known the person for an extended period of time or the individuals in question has MANY respected associates that can vouge for a particular individual.

Personally, I'm not too sure what significance the polygraph test has. Lie detector results are not in admissible in any court that I know of, and their fallibility is well documented. There are numerous examples of people failing polygraphs, yet still being proven to be innocent; and vice versa, guilty people can pass them. All in all, it is very difficult to give any weight to a lie detector test as proof of anything.

Lie detector tests are useless...this was a waste of time. Whether it said he lied or not wouldn't make a difference either way in my opinion.

Those tapes made it very clear this guy is a liar and placed the bets. That whole Canadian conspiracy theory/tape editing post by xpanda was the biggest stretch I have ever seen.

Again, even without this lie detector test:

#1- David is full of shit.
#2- Royal is a slow paying shit book.

Eidited. Personally I a very glad to see the dispute get settled. In behalf of The Rx. I want to thank eveyone involved, and hope a lesson can be learned from this nearly month long negotiation. As far as Royal goes, I am truly sorry they were subjected to the amount of ridicule they endured (Tej or not).

I am very glad General Pete can now rest easier knowing the final result. Thanks to Shrink for going the distance to get at the truth, and admitting in the end he was wrong in believing the player.

Thanks, wil.
