I know the NL had the better pitching staff..but the power is on the american side and that will be the difference like it has been in the past.

AL -1.5(+150)

I also like some the odds on the prop bets, for instance the AL to win by 3 or 4
but I don't ever recommend anyone to play props they are just moneymakers for books

Good Luck to all tonight enjoy the show!!

WMU33....be careful, it might look that way on paper (though the AL lineup is, of course, ridiculously filled with power hitters) but the NL has the pitching edge like you mentioned and they also have the likes of:
MLB Homerun Leader>>>Andruw Jones
HR Derby Winner>>>Bobby Abreu
Triple Crown Threat>>>Derrek Lee
Triple Crown Threat & The Guy With The Biggest Bat>>>Albert Pujols

So yeah, maybe OVERALL the AL does have the advantage of more hitters that are known for going deep but Top 5 versus Top 5 the NL ranks at the very least even with the AL. But anyways with all that being said who really knows right?? I'm just hoping for a good and exciting game and hopefully my NL bet can get me the $$$ as well. Best of luck tonight my friend.

Horrible strategy by Larussa changing pitchers every inning. Keep changing and your sure to find someone that doesn't have it. Also most of these guys are starters and not use to relieving.

AL has done the exact same thing except for Buehrle.

The problem is NL pitchers keeping walking AL hitters and the walks come in and score.

The NL hitters can't get a hit with a man on base and keep hitting into double plays.

I thought good pitching beats good hitting, but in this case, looks like the square play of AL power offense & OVER is an easy winner.

It use to be automatic that the starters woukld go 3 unless they got knocked out. I don't see how you can be serious about winning and still try to get all the players in the game.

It may come back to cost the Cards and Larussa this fall.

What are you talking about? This "strategy" only resulted in a 1-run difference when Smoltz gave up Miggy HR.

This "strategy" has NOTHING to do with why the NL is losing.

The AL is alternating every inning too, except for Buehrle who went only 2 innings:

Note how every inning NL gave up a walk, the AL hitters came through and delivered the run.

Whereas whenever the NL got walks, they hit into DP's and could not score the runner.

The difference is ALL OFFENSE. Pitchers have nothing to do with this game (contrary to my own handicapping).
