The theory is not new. It goes like this, bet against a SP that appeared in AS game in his next start. His rest schedule is off and you'll likely get a good dog price.

I don't have stats for it, does anyone ? Does this still work ?

Another angle is to bet against any ALL-STAR pitcher BEFORE the ALL-STAR GAME in his starts leading up to the ALL-STAR game.

Interesting that both of today's scheduled AS pitchers were scratched. Rogers and L Hernandez.
