Centerfielder???????

Would hope he would start at 2B

Do you mean back-up CF?

Man, what a line-up with him at 2B...............WOW!

Trade one of the super prospect minor leaguers.
Also soriano would take Johhny Damon spot in CF.

Why would they even consider benching Damon? I guess his .345 batting average and .386 OBP aren't very good for a leadoff man.

CF next year genius. Damon is a free agent. Sox are loaded with prospects, Lester, Papelbon, Ramirez and Pedoira come to mind...should be able to swing a deal if they want to.

Boy wonder,

Soriano is in the last year of his contract, therefore he would be a free agent after this year too.

edu the sox won't pay damon what he demands (free agent next year)...they figure Soriano to have a better upside..plus as stated the Sox have some super prospects.

Soriano rips, but he doesn't seem like the type of player the Sox like. Too much of a free swinger.

Besides offense isn't a problem, I'd don't want to see them trade away a top prospect unless it's for a top notch pitcher

Yes he is the prototypical type player that would be deemed overrated by a team like the Sox.

Pat, I understand about Damon, but I do believe that Soriano is a free agent after this year as well. I doubt they would resign him to a long term deal as their CF, considering he is a 2nd baseman. Even as their 2nd baseman he doesn't seem like their type of player, especially at what will be a pretty high price tag.

Who are these super prospect's that Boston has. Boston only has 1 player in baseball american's top 100 prospects that is Hanley Ramirez playing SS which Texas has no need for unless he wants to play second base cause of All Star Michael Young. You think Abe Alvzrez is going to command alot of interest. Kevin Youkills is alright but the Rangers don't need him with Blalock playing for Texas. I think talk radio is bored in Boston to come up with this rumour. I meam Texas isn't actually out of the race in the West what kind of message would that send to there fans.

Soriano has already said he will not come off of 2B. So not going to happen. The mets are a possibilty though. Also Red Sox have Johnny Damon and no way they let him go, than he would be a Yankee. Could the BoSox live with themselves for letting that happen.
