Tough one to take yesterday....I really dont think that was the situation to debut Schilling.I was sure hed come in around the 7th...maybe 8 but closing in that particular situation was a mistake.Yanks still overrated...Ill be doubling up on the Sox today,
CWS/Cleveland Under 8.5 (-125).
This was the first game I looked at today.CC has been pretty shaky at home over the last few months.Herein lies the value.Todays total is set at this same place it has been for his L3 home starts. However up steps Garcia whos been dominant on the road w/ an era of 2.44.Hes pitched well vs the Tribe in all of his recent starts. He was kind batted around in his last two starts overall(4er ea. both at home). As stated CC era at home this year is nothing short of disappointing, but he in turn has done well vs CWS in all of his recent starts facing them(hes not let up more than 3 er in any start vs CWS in L3 years).Cleveland has not been hitting...being shutout last night and only scoring 3.3 rpg in thier L7.Things shouldnt get easier vs Garcia. The Sox have been hitting a bit lately but have struggled for most of the year on the road (4.5 rpg). This matchup contains almost everything I look for in a game. Both teams also possess solid BPs and tonights ump (Eddings 65% strikes ,4.6 bb/g on 271 ppg) is about as much of a pitchers freind as youll see in MLB.In the last 3 seasons these teams playing in Cleveland have produced 14 Unders and 8 Overs....this year 3-1 UNDER.
Trend of the day:
On the road when the total is 8-8.5 the CWS are 12-2 Under.
