wow venus never carried a total, good for you. Purchases if not paid in full, get charged interest after a month, cash advances, interest charged day you make transaction.

All BOOKS charge the credit card as PURCHASES....

the thing is, sometimes if the Credit Card operators know that it is for Online Gambling, they may bill it as a Cash Advance, this isnt the choice of the Bookie but rather the Bank or Credit Card operator.....

I use my MasterCard at Mansion, SIA or Pinny & It is always charged as a purchase so I have 60 days to pay, interest Free.....

For 95%...it is a bad idea. If you are gambling with the card because you are tapped out, you need to seek help.

But for anyone who does it with proper money management, credit cards are a great way to increase profits. Just like the above poster, a 60 day interest free loan to bet with is a gold mine. Especially with a book like Mansion.

To add to that...I know a couple friends that kick the crap out of Mansion and use nothing but their credit cards there and have already earned enough for free trips and things of that nature from their credit card company and have never paid a cent of interest.

Thank you for the information, phdinsports.
But, let me rephrase my question.
If you make a credit card deposit at any book, you are making a purchase, right? Done... The money is in your account and you can wager righ away...
If you lose & you want to chargeback, you just say u didn't authorize that purchase and the book will have to reimburse the money. This, regardless of their point of view... Am I wrong???

actually, you need to know all the facts before you make a judgement....

My Credit Card offers me a 2% CASH rebate on ALL CHARGES!!!!!!

If I make a deposit One Day after my Billing CYCLE to Pinny or MANSION, I have 60 days or so to pay it back INTEREST FREE, not to mention I get a 2% BONUS on all MY deposits at PINNY & MANSION & SIA (Books that never offer bonuses)...... **My credit card offers a 2% Bonus on all purchased**

It is not IF you use credit cards but HOW you use the cards that is important

If a credit card company charges you interest as cash advance...then THEY know it's for gambling....and are saying .."OK".

99% of the time---it's not a gambling transaction that visa is approving. It's showing as a purchase from XYZ corp. This idea has scared me into not even using my card...they might try to say money laundering because of this. I don't know.

NO it has to do whether the Particular version of Visa or Mastercard want to approve it...

For exaple, I can use my National Bank Mastercard ANYWHERE, but I cannot use my Canadian Tire Mastercard for ANY gaming transactions....

All the online gaming companies that I am familiar with...do NOT use their name when you apply to use your credit card. There is some type of "dummy" company to which a purchase is applied; which I think has the potential to cause the player a problem.

Canbet and Bowmans also charged my Visa as "purchases". Bowmans and SIA both charge a fee for Credit card deposits, tho, so it cancels out any rebate you get with your CC company.
