I love when he asks everyone at the track who they like on the next race so he can take the one nobody has. Great formula for picking NFL Games as well.

I just watched it last week b/c it was reccomended by someone here. It is the last of the 'gambling movies" that I have watched since someone started a thread 6 mos. ago or more.

My wife asked me if I was trying to tell her something.

I have probably ordered 15 or more movies from that list from netflix. Let it Ride is one of the better ones on the list. So much dialogue and one liners. i probably need to watch it again.
The only thing is that they only bet the "win" horse when most gamblers would be boxing them and trying to make trifectas and such. That was the only part that wasn't realistic to me as far as degenerates go in these movies.

my favorite movie, glad to see it getting some attention. Its like a video of my yoooth. There were odd characters like that around every track i have been too. Note to above: i dont think it is suposed tobe realistic.

Yep, its a movie, but a sixty thousand bet in those pools wouldn't have dropped the horse to 8-1 but closer to 4-5. Not realistic but most people wouldn't pick up on that.

Wasn't looney played by Buster Poindexter? He was in the deli as well (anither great gambling movie). I relate most to the parts where he is always figuring out (after he won) how much he had to take out for all the stuff he owed. No matter how much he won the figure always came back zero

Great Movie . Let it Ride

One of the best if not funniest movies about horse players. I have seen hundreds around the track that reminded me of everyone in the movie. How about that shill named chesseburger with all the jewelry on? Great movie
