They have had more injuries than any team in baseball. They have had a Triple A team for months. Not only did they stay alive, they actually gained ground while this was going on...Now Chipper is back with a homer tonight. Hudson and Hampton are back. Thomson will be back next month. I see no reason at all this team can't win the World Series. I know their playoff history, but you could have said the same thing last year about the Red Sox....For full disclosure I have some futures on them.

I don't know about the WS, but they have held their own (and then some), when all logic says that they quietly tanked like many other injury riddled teams have done.

Not enough offense to do much damage in the playoffs on paper, but I suppose if they all get hot somehow it possible

As a Cards fan, the Braves are the team I fear most this year as Smoltz,Hudson, and Hampton make a nice Top 3 in starting pitching. My belief though is if they don't get another bat or two and a proven closer, it will hurt them when it counts most imo.

Kojak... the problem here is that the Braves aren't trading for ANYONE. If anything, they're going to unload salary. As a Braves fan, I know my glory days are very short, as the Braves continue to slash salary. But when your ace pitcher (Smoltzy) comes out and says a week before the All-Star Break that you know your ownership isn't going to add anymore payroll this season, it leads me to believe that the Braves are running out of chances at another crown. Andy Jones is probably going to be the payroll cut next year...

The Braves are defintely having another good season with all the injuries they have had, but this team doesnt scare me come October, the team that fears me the most being the Cardinals would be the Cubs, if this team stays healthy they will be a very very dangerous team come postseason.

Rainbow I think you are selling them short. They are more balanced than ever and with some of their spot starters going to the bullpen they will have a terrific bullpen. Good defense/good pitching and a first round against the overrated Padres looks like a good fit to play the Cards in a best of 7.

Don't say that to Cards fans, they don't want to hear it.
