Would love to get one together & figure Sunday August 20 in the Nugget Sportsbook would be a great place to hold one.

Here is my idea:

1) 250$ entry Fee

2) Limited to first 10 entries

3) Each Contestent will draft 12 Players

(names would be drawn from a hat to determine who would draft first. The draft would then start with the number one participant drafting first, then second & so on..... Once it was the 10th persons turn he would draft TWICE, & then it would go back up the ladder. Essentially the 10th person gets the salvation of having the 10th & 11th pick. The person who chooses number one winds up getting pick # 1, 20 & 21.)

4) Each participant will eliminate their two LOWEST players from their total score.

(this way if someone gets 1 or 2 unlucky injuries, they are not necessarilly out of the pool)

5) Pool will be maintained at officepools.com for all to see

(this is a PHENOM web site to track hockey pools.... you can log in each morning & see the points your players got, & where you stand in the pool)

6) Scoring: 1 goal = 1 point 1 Assist = 1 point

7) Prize Structure: FIRST PRIZE = 2000$ SECOND PRIZE = 500$

***I am thinking sometime at 11AM or so VEGAS time in the NUGGET sportsbook***

***Money will be held in Escrow somehow (TBD)***

I am pretty sure I can think of at least 4 people who would likely be in for sure, so if there are others, let me know. or any suggestions.

Sounds interesting but would the rosters, free agents be all set by August 20? It's gonna be a pretty crazy FA signing period.

I'm probably in. I'll keep checking this thread for more details.

By the way, I'm familiar with officepools.com, and it is excellent. However, if it is at all costly register with that site, I suggest trying thehockeypool.com. It is equal in quality to officepools, but only costs $10 flat fee for a pool entry. Just a suggestion

I'd like to join you in this Savant but fantasy leagues aren't my forte. I'll be doing good if I could name half the players that will be playing in the NHL this year.

myself included vic, I just make sure to have my NHL yearbooks with me to refer too & thus its a breeze.....

every year there are at least 7 or 8 publications you could buy as a guide.
