Was wondering if they are the same people??
Been seeeing lots of comercials for Partypoker.net and thought they were the same.
anyone know any info??

yes, net is free, com for $. Net is easier to advertise.

Yes...by making a site with .net and having it as a "school" and not playing with real money, it is not a gambling site and allows them to advertise within the US.

So if I were to creat a website for gambling:

ex: www.mybook.com (for real $$) and then www.mybook.net (for play $$)

I could advertise on TV that I offer a site that lets you gamble on sports for prizes but no $$ and then promote my pay service w/ direct email campaigns to the people that entered the play site??

What a concept:toast:

Prizes would constitute gambling since you could get something of value.
