Two out 2-run bomb by Blalock in the bot of the 8th to put Texas ahead 2-1. The Bronx bums have now lost 28 out of 29 games when scoring 3 runs or less. Worst in the majors.

Birds blow the save in the 9th...Ryan gives up a walk, guy steals second, ball goes into CF, then a wild pitch and we are tied..all with two outs!

You are still going to this ridiculous statistic? I thought I pointed out what was so dumb about it in that long thread you had going a while back. You must be getting nervous about jumping off the stratoshere.

Very nice overlay if you guys think they suck. Like you have said also Chuck you cannot factor in who they will add. I am sure they won't address anything.

Do your homework royalfan. NYY have nothing to offer. Besides Burnett, no impact starting pitchers are available. NYY calling up Small to start on Wednesday.

royal fan is right,

I respect you a lot just because of all the crap you have to hear from being a KC fan.

Nobody realtizes it, but Greinke is the real deal and the next Tom Seaver. 2nd half profits here we come.

Agreed Dobie, Greinke lost many a come-from-ahead battles early this year, only to watch his team blow in the 8th and 9th, he is the real deal, and all that wiseguy torched chasing him all year, was actually well intended..yet lost.

He is the real deal but I think he would be better served to reduce his arsenal a little bit. He is kind of cocky and thinks it is more important to make a hitter look incredibly foolish sometimes instead of just getting outs. He don't need to throw 4 pitches and 5 different speeds to be effective. Take it down to three speeds each and learn how to spot them a little better. Just my opinion. Don't get me wrong though, I am really high on the guy and he is signed through 2010.

I agree, Greinke will be a good one...lately though he seems to be falling apart around 5 innings...I compare him to the year Bonderman had when he lost all those games playing with a horrible Detroit team...

'Signed thru 2010" ? Holy cow.

So is Dejesus and most of the young core around through 2009. They opted to spend more money locking guys up longer. I just hope they picked the right guys.

Cleveland did the same thing back in the mid 90's and it worked well for them....its a shame what has happened to that once very proud franchise...they were one of the top franchises before corporations took over the game.
