Just read in today's paper that the Heat have interest in signing Marco Jaric. I have always thought very highly of his game. However, you have obviously seen him play much more that I have. What is your opinion on Jaric and what are his strengths and weaknesses? Thanks

He is awesome...I really mean that. I don't think the Heat can land him, but we will see. I hear he is really close to signing with Minnesota and the Clippers are even discussing a sign and trade with them. Cleveland also has started courting him pretty heavily.
He is a great defender and can play both 1 and 2. A couple years back when the Clippers drafted him, he was the hottest thing going over in Europe. I believe he was the MVP of the top league over there and led his team to back to back championships.
He has been injured for the Clippers and never really got going. When he played, he was tough for us. He is a good shooter and definitely plays within the system. He doesn't force any shots and can knock down the 3.
He doesn't seem to be a great penetrator, but he still gets guys open looks.
I am still hoping we match any offer because he is a restricted free agent. He would be HUGE for us because he can play backup PG and SG. We desperately need a backup for Livingston. But I am hearing we will land Bonzi Wells by the end of the weekend. WTF?
It will be interesting to see where Jaric lands. I posted in another thread about him that I think next year, no matter where he is playing, will be his break out year.
If I had to pick a team that I think he will play for next year, I would say Minnesota. :toast:
