This one is from the proverbial "reliable source", who says that Haslett is OUT at New Orleans with a poor September start. Owner was unwilling to fire him in 2003 and the swift finish saved his job in 2004. Haslett is well respected around the league but indications are that his firing mid-season would mean that he could not get a job right away, and the Saints are ok with that.
Also note that many of his current players and former players from the last 2 seasons are not in love with him. This team has issues.
