I saw Phil Ivey take down a $30,000 pot on Full Tilt Poker 3 or 4 months ago. Not too large for them, I'm sure, but it definitely was painful to see that other fool go down. Ivey entered the table with 5K and the other dude had about 28K. It took about 20 minutes for Ivey to wipe him clean.

I would have a real hard time playing poker against someone who owns the site, no matter how good DBrunsons reputation is.

I don't believe he owns the site or even a portion of it.

I could be wrong, but that is what I have heard through a few grapevines.

Don't know for sure, maybe somebody here does.

Brunson offered 100 Million to buy out the WPT, he has some serious juice.

doyle has some money but not nearly that much and that offer was supposedly non-existent and possible a rumor started by people trying to pump up the stock price.

I wish! It's a 13k guaranteed tourny. Cost a whopping $20.

I was told Doyle does play every now and then on the site, mostly for promotional purposes and generally in the highest limits. I also believe he doesn't have a financial interest, but gets paid consultant type fees. Most Americans, especially those as high profile as he is, would be stupid to ever own a piece of an offshore place and even dumber to admit it.

I remember when you could play 3-6 with Phil Hellmuth at Ultimate. Never could get into the tables, the list for the game was like 45 names long and there were something like 100 people watching the table. The stars love playing and telling you it is them. Any star will tell you its good to be recognized, people are always doing stupid things just hoping they can say they beat you out of a pot or made a move on you.
