There are a few games that I have circled on my gambling schedule that I will pound due to rather revenge or major payback purposes.

1. Texas Tech visiting Nebraska- Huskers will have Lincoln rocking for payback from 70-10 thrashing ly. No mercy for Red Raiders!

2. Troy visiting Missouri- This game turned Tigers season ly on national tv. No Demarcus Ware this time for the Trojans!

3. Mississippi St visitng Florida- Don't think that Urban won't remind this bunch. Should get real ugly!

4. Miami visiting Florida State- Can Canes win for 7th time in a row in this series?

5. Duke visiting Clemson- Should be over by the first quarter after ly Duke su win.

6. NC State at Florida State- Bowden and Mickey surely have this one marked after first game with Miami.

7. Notre Dame at Michigan- This game cost Wolves possible national title shot.

8. Biggest!!!!!!!!!!Texas vs OU! No Jason White, so can Peterson carry Sooners or will Mack Brown finally get a clue!

What are some of your games you have circled?

Battle of two clubs that are both overrated big time. I don't see Iowa losing to them. Cannot wait until Iowa St. comes to Lincoln. Paybacks will be a bitch.

The Gators were robbed last yr on a horrible call by the refs at the very end..the Gators will be a top 8 team, no less.

Cyclones should beat Iowa this year.

Iowa State 20
Iowa 13.

Iowa did it with mirrors last year winning multiple games a TD or less, they had no business winnning. Iowa is going to be in big trouble this year whether they win or lose this one.

Look for them to get pounded by Ohio State in Columbus and then they will get ANNIHILATED in Lafayette by an angry Purdue gang that blew the game in Kinnick last year with 4 backup qb turnovers, and 2 botched fgs.

Hawaii at MSU week 2. I have literally been waiting 9 MONTHS to play this game, thinking about it every day. I took out a second mortgage just to get the scratch ready. MSU will win by 63 or so.

Any team replacing a stud qb the first game, and giving points. I'm taking all the points.

Every year. Usually Iowa a 2 TD favorite. Opening line might be reduced this year based on high expectation for ISU and the fact that the game is in Ames.

Iowa WILL WIN but not cover the spread.

You are exactly correct on the luck Iowa had last year and they are drastically overrated, but you lost a ton of your credibility in my eyes, not that I think you are god like many anyhow, by claiming an Iowa st. win here. They are way overrated also and will not win on the road here.

OU - Texas

If both teams are undefeated I will take the underdog on the money line.

Great thread, Kojak! I mildly disagree on Duke @ Clemson. It stands to reason that Tigers will be ready to avenge last season's loss, but Duke was TOUGH ATS as a dog ly. Clemson will win at home, but don't be surprised if it's within a TD.

9/24 Notre Dame @ Washington on ABC

Few things were worse than the Huskies' abysmal 1-10 season ly, but one of them was Notre Dame's firing of Ty Willingham in a desperate (and now futile) attempt to get Urban from Utah. We know coach Ty will want this game more than any on the schedule, but can he turn that team around in time? Will ND have adjusted to Weiss' game plans by then? This game should be a blowout by the Irish, but there will be ample posterboard material and "human interest" stories before the game.

Belch One, Noles had that game in the bag until Rix worked his magic for the 5th time! And based on pre-season hype and personnel, this will finally be the year the Horns beat Bobby Stoops.

BUT--you have a great point, keep riding those trends until the losers prove they can win or cover. GL

El Iguana,

Forgot about the game with ND at Washington. The reason I started this thread was to get a list of games where revenge , payback, or past coaches going vs old teams. These are normally very strong games to bet and had always been one of my angles I look at. thanks for reminding me of this game.

Drew Tate for Iowa is my darkhorse candidate to win the Heisman. He's an exceptional quarterback and a great leader. Throw in a top 5 coahc in college football, and hey guess what, no way they lose to Iowa State. no way.

And this year they'll be playing their 1st or 2nd string RB fulltime, not their 5th STRING like last year!
