While Im kicking my heels waiting for NFL, I will remind you of my conversation with a pro cricket bowler who stated that after 10 overs (60 balls), the best can be expected to be hit all over the park. However, equating that to baseball didnt quiet work out over a small time period.

After further review as the refs say, cricket bowlers have the extra energy sapping run-up as well as having to field when not bowling. So what we are looking for is, the number of pitches in baseball to equal 60 bowls in cricket. I will decline to make knee-jerk statements now but there is definitely a angle that nobody has looked at waiting to be taken advantage of.

We are ignorant. For instance he lost me at "bowler", "cricket" and "sapping run up"

By the time I got to "equal to 60 bowls" I had farted, belched and pissed myself while wondering why the Fuck Garland is dominating my Red Sox.

WinBet: 100 pitches is usually regarded as the equivalent to 60 cricket balls..

How we managed to collapse like that against the Aussies I don't know!

Santo,
The one thing I have learnt abour pro-sports is, there is not that much difference between teams, Cricket seems to be be more that way than any. I can honestly say, I make money on Cricket because everyone has to play on the same pitch. If one team struggles, you literally can bet the other team will to. Anyways, nice to see British imput, show these yanks how to bet.:103631605

True, but surely the pitch hasn't got that much better since Thursday, that the Aussies were able to post what will eventually be over 300?? I was away, so hadn't seen even highlights until today, but it looked to be playing reasonably today..

With the weather for the next 3 days tho, all 3 results are possible, and possibly the draw is a value play at 14s..

Could we move this thread to the British Isles forum. Only thing I have learned is tossing. Do you toss off in Cricket? Jolly good. Pip, pip and spot of tea. You want a f a g ? Keep your eyes above the waist when asking please. Bloody wankers. Tart for breakfast, 100 quid? Expensive pastry.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

Hey winbet, do you know a link offhand that explains the rules of this sport. Seen it on TV a time or two but it took the joy out of it when I couldn't figure out what in the hell was going on. I could do a google but don't feel like it.

Royalfan, hope this helps.

Frog, yes they do toss in cricket:lolBIG: but I am not going to explain positional play like silly mid-off, short square leg, third slip and extra cover.

Unlike in cricket where a captain will pull a bowler before the damage is done, baseball coaches seem to wait for the rot to set in. I am working on 80-100 pitches, but more dependent on the innings gone, and then formulating a price per innings. Of course this only helps if you can bet in-running, but I'm sure next year will see a big increase in that form of betting.

please keep any thoughts coming.:103631605

cattlerustler, thank you but I'm afraid my days of big hitting are long gone, its more a game nowadays and betfair gives me the chance to see if the old magic is still there.:sad3:
