Just wondering what most do. Is it that some do and some don't. How late are they open at night to take a bet on the overnights if available.
Are any books open 24/7?

hey guys forgive my ignorance...but I have no idea and am highly curious?

Thanks Dante .

Let me re-ask this question in a slightly different way. I'm assumming most Nevada books are "cookie-cutter" types. (Don't know that to be a fact at ALL).

But if there is one book---who would be considered a "Pinnacle" in Nevada?

No Nevada Book compares to a Pinnacle but whenever I go to Vegas I go to the Imperial Palace which offers a lot of different wagers and the Barbary Coast.

Yes, some books put up lines at 4pm for the following days games..........especially on the weekends.

Agree with Kenny B that no one can compare to Pinnacle in Vegas but if you're seeking a Vegas book that puts up early overnights I do know that the El Cortez, (downtown), puts theirs up around 2:00 p.m., (or there abouts), for the next days action. Needless to say it is a dime line.

I used to find good numbers at the Stations properties at around 8pm for the next days games when scalping.

Barbary Coast has them . They're open 23/7 they close for an hour around 2 am or 3 am.I'm guessing the Barbary Coast sister properties,Orleans ,Gold Coast and Suncoast have them too but I doubt their books are open all night.

The Plaza has a different owner now. They did some remodeling in the sportsbook. They also have the distinction of having lines up for every NFL game of the entire season right now.

What was/is the outcome of allowing Vegas Residents to bet on sports by phone? I thought that was an option there, but am confused if they discontinued it or what happened. Is it just Vegas or the entire state that had/have it?

Thanks K! Good to know that. Do most of the books offer internet wagering or just Stations? Whole state or just Vegas?

It looks like Amtrack cost more to go to Nevada than a flight.
I'm depressed.

Vegas has just recently approved wireless betting and gambling. They had some sort of beeper system so that they could verify you were within the states borders, but now they have approved and are experimenting with some sort of cell phone Global Positioning System that can verify you are calling from within the state. As far as I know they have something in place right now to take bets from outside the casino.

Usually the only time the sportsbooks stay open 24/7 is during the football season and that's usually on Friday and Saturday nights. Hearing that the Barbary is open 23/7 is a suprise to me.
