Mets RL (-123) cant lay -250 on anyone but.....Pedro has been superb.Today hes up against Houlton who brings to the table an away record of 1-1 w/ an era 7.16 (1.92 whip) thanks to the Dbacks a couple starts ago. That may have skewed his L3 stats as well but hes really not that good IMO.This is a pitching mismatch:

Pedro overall: 11-3 2.60 era .820 whip
Pedro home: 5-1 2.44 era .830 whip
Pedro daytime: 4-0 2.51 era .800 whip
Pedro L3: 2-1 1.80 era .850 whip (NO HRs) 5.33 avg for /1.67 avg against

You get the point. Now the LAD banged out 15 hits last night while holding on to win.Jeff Kent thier best hitter had a good night. He generally hasnt hit well in Shea and hasnt had much luck vs. Martinez.I look for the Dodgers to be a little flat offensively even with Bradley supposedly coming back.Incidently the Dodgers are only 5-11 in Gm2 after winning Gm1 this year.In the last 5 games the NYM have hit .292 while the LAD have hit .275 (including last night). The Mets should score some runs off Houlton and IMO the LAD will struggle, as most do vs Pedro. In his L6 wins ,Pedro has won by 2+ runs...in the L6 Mets wins, the team has won by 2+ runs.Pedro only went 6 innings and 61 pitches LTO and should be strong today.Neither BP is stellar but Ill give the Mets the edge here as well.

Thanks for the picks Basehead, great write-ups with sound reasoning as your record shows. Like the Mets today as well and was happy to see you picked them too!

What is your take on the Angels/Yanks over 9.5 -126, I feel it will settle down about over 10 -115 at game time, I like the over with Brown, Santana is hittable.

Thanks again, SoCal

Quite welcome....when the bookies frown I smile.

I actually love the over in LA tonight.Brown is toast.Besides dont they almost always go over.I think the NYY may actually grab one here and with Brown on the mound theyre going to need to score some runs.
