Just a small vignette. One day in LV 1990 I think, driving on Paradise Rd I noticed a Mercedes Conv w/lic. LEM in front of me. It was indeed Mr. Banker, I`d just read his book where he said "don`t mind giving out my plays AFTER I`ve made them" Sooo I got next to him and yelled over he smiled and said Hi, got to a red and I said "what ya got today Lem" not expecting an ans. but he called back 3 plays. Hit 2 of 3, but the point is not all famous people are prcks ala Helmuth. Later told some one @ the Dust about it and they Banker was a genuinly nice person. Sort of renewed faith in man. Same trip met Jack "Treetop" Stroud now dead I think, and he too was very sociable. (big guy) Not too interesting but just trying to help ya!
