If a person that bets the Fav(-4000) and loses(I know this is not going to happen) ... the book makes 2k if the dog wins....wow what a payday for the book if the dog wins.

Never really noticed the gap in $$ between the fav and dog

That is a ripoff line. The math geeks will tell you the hold % is low. What the geeks do not understand is that when one of these big favs go down, the hold goes up to 50% hold. Also, any book will tell you that when they put a -4000 takeback +2000, the only action they will get is on the dog. So it is not really a low hold as the geeks like to say.
