another bad night last night. starting to think this is just not my year. when i hit 35 units in the hole, it is time to quit. i don't want to be broke for football season which is right around the corner.
three unit play
atlanta -175 vs washington................smoltz and the braves have bailed me out time and time again, so i am going back to them. smoltz has been amazing and atlanta has a chance to move into first place by themselves tonight. livan hernandez was talking about surgery a couple of weeks ago and has said he will just pitch in pain, so you know he is not 100%. i look for the braves to rock him tonight. was thinking about the runline as well, but decided against it. i know smoltz will come thru, but hernandez is still capable of pitching a pretty good game too. but my gut says braves roll tonight.
two unit plays
phillies +170 vs houston..........these two are battlling for a wild card right now. phils lost last night and get clemens on wednesday, which is not good, so this is a very important game for them. the long ball killed the phils yesterday, that won't happen tonight. phils playing alot better right now, actually it is hard to believe where they are at in the standings when you consider how much this team has underachieved so far this year. lieber showed some signs of coming out of his slump in this last start and oswalt who has been great due for a bad outing. you have to love the phils at this price.
minnesota +175 vs yankees..............which randy johnson shows up tonight? i personally think he is no where near what he used to be. like the phils game, we are getting a good pitcher, with a good team and very good odds. radke certainly worth a shot at these odds.
one of those two above big dogs will win tonight. both would be great, but one is all it takes for a profit.

mets -110 vs colorado............mets were playing pretty good ball until last nights loss, so i will stick with them vs an average rockie team.
texas +110 vs baltimore...........i am just not impressed with the orioles, so why not take mr rogers as a dog? yeah, i think i will.
despite how poorly i have picked lately, i really feel good about these games today. i will have a winning night. good luck everybody!!
