In addition to discounts and deals, IVLV has added

events and happenings around Las Vegas.

* The 1.3 million-square-foot first tower for the furniture
trade opened in downtown Las Vegas this week.
Approximately 53,000 furniture buyers are expected to
visit Phase one of this $2 billion development. This
enormous building is just the beginning, over the next
seven years 10.7 million more square feet will be built
to complete World Market Center.

* Nevada residents look for your Bank of America check
in the mail from the State of Nevada. B of A has been
selected to mail out the 1.9 million checks. Anyone
paying a Nevada vehicle registration fee in 2004 and
anyone 65 or older as of 1.1.05 with a valid Nevada ID
will receive a minimum of $75 to a maximum of $275.

* The first casualty of The Wynn Casino is their nightclub
La Bete, which after being open a few weeks has been
considered a disaster and Mr. Wynn has teamed up
with local nightclub guru Drai to create a new nightclub
at the cost of $2.5 million in renovations.

* Not so lucky was former Clark County Commissioner
Lance Malone as he was found guilty of 37 of the 39 counts
against him in a San Diego court. He is expected to receive
approximately 3.5 years in jail for his activities. Malone
still faces Federal charges in Las Vegas with other C.C.
Commissioners Mary Kincaid-Chauncey and Dario Herrara.
Erin Kenny and former strip club owner Michael Galardi
have already pleaded guilty.

* Vegas and the weather are hot, this past week we
experienced a record hot days and on Tuesday the
temperature rose to 117, which beat the old record
which occurred in July 24, 1942.

* Defection to Las Vegas . . . The 49 Cuban entertainers
in the Stardust's show "Havana Night Club" have been
granted asylum. For several months they have feared
reprisals if they returned to Cuba and now the US
government will allow them to stay in the USA.

* The nearly 2,000 acres wild fire at Red Rock Canyon
is now completely under control. This fire closed
highways and gave firefighters a real battle with the
50 mph winds that fanned the flames. Red Rock
Canyon is located 20 minutes west of Las Vegas.

* Sumo wrestling invades Las Vegas for the first
time in the sports 1,500 year history. October 7-9
at the Mandalay Bay will hold three days of Grand
Sumo Championship tournament. Tickets are
priced at $75-$175 per session.

* Las Vegas's Rising Star Chefs gala tasting event
will be held on September 13, from 7p-9p at Caesars
Palace. Tickets are priced at $100 and VIP at $200.

* Hilton Pool Party Bikini Model contest has a grand
prize of $10,000 to the winner. August 19-21 is a
weekend pool party at the Hilton with tickets costing
$40 per weekend pass or $25 per day.

* Ladies get ready . . . The world premiere is set for
Friday, July 29 at The Riviera Casino where the men
of American Storm will heat up their new home away
from home within The Crazy Girl Showroom. The
show is dark on Tuesday. Tickets are $39.95+ and
VIP tickets are $49.95+.
