Twins 3rd base coach sends Boone against Jeter's relay.....it wasn't even close.

I know the Twins aren't scoring but they would have had 2nd and 3rd if he didn't send him.

Sveum had another bad series against Tampa.

But in the first game of the Series Tom Foley (Tampa 3rd base coach) Waved a guy home with his right hand and held him up with his left. The runner looked totally confused slowed down, sped up, then finally just stopped at third.

It was funny...and pathetic.

Sveum is horrific. But WTF does a first base coach do other than yell "back" when the pitcher is making a move to first? That's a good gig--those guys on the 3B side make the high profile decisions.

Good call. Plus a good third base coach better be getting some guys thrown out or he's too conservative.
